Your Career Plan offers a series of entirely bespoke action plans for the development of your body of work, your representation approach and, ultimately, your screenwriting career strategy.
Utilizing decades of industry experience working with thousands of writers, writer-directors and directors as well as endless ongoing conversations with my friends in representation, production and the executive branch, Your Career Plan unlocks a bespoke career trajectory blueprint dedicated to exploring your viability, strengths and challenges and offering up viable next steps for your pursuit of representation, a career in screenwriting, TV writing or both, or a career as a writer-director. Additionally, under the Portfolio offering, Your Career Plan offers stand-alone assessments that explore all that you bring to the table: your brand, concepts and body of work.
STEP 1: PICK YOUR PLAN!
Whether evaluating your body of work, making a plan for representation or considering your next career steps, the first thing you have to do is choose! You can opt for a single career plan, or add additional offerings, such as portfolio evaluations, to your cart. I’m here to assess, evaluate and strategize however you need me to in order to help move your screenwriting career forward!
STEP 2: ALL ABOUT THE DATA!
Once you’ve purchased your plan, rundown or evaluation, it’s time to collect your information. Within 2-business-days you’ll be sent links to my data aggregators that will allow me to collect your specific information in order to build your bespoke action plan. You will be required to fill out extensive information about the area of focus that you chose for your plan. If additional information is needed, I will send over more questions via email in order to help me devise the best strategy for you.
STEP 3: GET YOUR PLAN AND GET TO WORK!
You will receive your comprehensive, bespoke plan or assessment within 10-15 business days. Each career plan, rundown and assessment is created for the unique writer, and will be filled with my insights and suggestions specific for your next career steps.
Does Representation Rundown or Your Career Plan include any one-on-one coaching?
No. All action plans and evaluations provided through my Your Career Plan suite of products are just that: made-to-order assessments and action plans built to order from the information you will be asked to provide. These career and representation blueprints do not include one-on-one consultation, but once your action plan is delivered, you will have the opportunity to purchase a consultation at a reduced price if you would like to discuss your plan further.
How long and extensive are these action plans?
Your Career Plan and/or Representation Rundown will typically run between 7-10 pages, sometimes more.
Do you provide the names and emails of managers that I could reach out to as part of my Representation Rundown?
While I will provide the names of reps and representation companies the sort of which may be a fit for you and that you therefore should be looking to approach, your Representation Rundown does not serve as a referral to representatives, but rather a starting point for your own research towards the target list of manager you should approach as part of your representation strategy.
Do I get a Query Letter Review with my Representation Rundown?
No. However, you may purchase a Query Letter Review separately.
How does the whole Query Letter Review work?
Once you’ve purchased a Query Letter Review, I will send you my Query Letter Guidelines, and ask you to send me the first draft of your query letter. You will receive notes over email within 5-business-days of sending me your 1st draft of your query letter, and will then have the opportunity to submit your 2nd draft of your query letter for a final review.
When you say that these action plans are tailor-made… What do you mean?
Upon purchasing your career plan, representation rundown or portfolio review, you will be sent a link to an extensive questionnaire which will allow me to collect the data that I will need to put together your action plan or assessment. Once I review your information, I may reach out with additional questions in order to assemble the most comprehensive action plan that I can for you. I assemble each action plan myself based on the information you provide me with and my many years coaching writers, writer-directors and directors, so that each plan or assessment is entirely unique.
How long will it take to get my action plan or assessment?
Your Career Plan, Representation Rundown and Portfolio assessment takes 10-15 business days to assemble from the time that I have your information. If you purchase a query letter review, you will receive feedback on your 1st query draft within 5-business-days from the date submitted, unless informed otherwise.
What if I prefer to work with you one-on-one instead of just getting an extensive written action plan?
